About Nova Rae

Having met back in 1999 Julie and Lee-Anne had an instant connection. Both with backgrounds in customer service and a variety of service sectors - it didn't take long for them to decide to get into business together.

They quickly began working together on freelance projects widely considered the ‘go to girls’ with an uncanny ability to make magic happen! Their relationship has sustained growth, commitment, compassion, understanding, strength and momentum over the years.

Owning a century home with her husband, Lee-Anne gained a lot of experience in regards to home renovations and learned the in's and out's of construction quite easily thanks to her experience working in a multitude of trades. Her schooling also included Women in Trades and Technology, Photography and Real Estate.

Being 3 1/2 years in the Okanagan, Julie and Lee-Anne have achieved more than most. Within the first 10 months they had their sights set on starting their business here in Kelowna! The business took a quick shift towards project management and design with the housing market where it was there wasn't a big demand for home staging. So NovaRae decided to expand and rebrand.

Recently, NovaRae's focus has been on social media, networking groups, the Chamber of Commerce and volunteer work. This has connected them with the community and has brought them a lot of recognition in a short time frame. Write ups in the Capital News paper by Maxine DeHart and Bobbi Sue Minard... articles on area rugs and design & colour trends for 2011, working on Homes for the Holidays with the Rotary Centre for the Arts as well as WAG - the Wearable Art Gala with the Alternator Gallery to name a few.

NovaRae launched the first BNI chapter in Lake Country BC. They were seen at the 2011 HomeShow at Prospera sharing a booth with ValleyWide Contracting and also ran a promotion with Twongo Kelowna to put the business in to full swing.

With their sites set on opening a store front Design Centre in 2013, things are looking good for the NovaRae team. Their clients have ranged from the residential home owners, bed and breakfasts, commercial office spaces to working with Realtors and out of town clients from Vancouver to Manitoba.

Jobs have ranged from a basic consultations, bathroom renovations, full kitchen remodels all they way up to the design with full project management with price points from $150 up to $75,000
